The NYSP Equalities Task Group was established in April 2007 as a cross-cutting
partnership group to support the partnership’s vision to be socially inclusive
for all people living, working and visiting the County as we celebrate the diversity
of our County and its people. The group meets on an as necessary basis.
Equalities Working Groups
Working groups of the Equalities Task Group are established on a task and finish
basis to oversee the implementation of decisions of the task group on behalf of

Strategic Review of Inward Migration
In 2008 the NYSP Equalities Task Group established two action learning sets to
consider the impact of changing migration patterns on service provision and social
cohesion across
North Yorkshire
and the partnership. One of the outcomes of this work is the strategic review
of the impact of inward migration from the EU accession states. A consultation
on this review has since been undertaken. An action plan has now been produced
incorporating comments received during the consultation, to address the emergingpriorities
from the strategic review.
