Wider Partnership

The Wider Partnership is open to all organisations and partnerships interested in the wellbeing of North Yorkshire’s communities.  Consisting of representatives from across the public, business, voluntary and community sectors and meeting annually in conference style, this body has shown itself to be a good forum for consultation and briefing.

It has had a positive input to the development of NYSP policy and the content of the Local Area Agreement 2008/11.  In 2007, for example, the Wider Partnership helped to identify the key priorities for the direction of the NYSP's work - now translated into the ten priorities of the Sustainable Community Strategy 2008/18.

The 2009 annual conference - "Facing the Challenges Ahead Together" - was held at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Thursday 15th October and was themed around the challenges facing NYSP partners.  Updates from this event will be made available on these pages in due course.

News updates for this group can be found under the "Newsletters" page.
