North Yorkshire County Council recently produced a Consultation Strategy and a ConsultationToolkit.

 

The Strategy provides a plan to help the County Council to consult with its citizens and communities. It sets out:

·        Why the County Council consults

·        How the County Council does consultation

·        What roles elected Members and officers at the County Council play in  consultation

·        How the County Council monitors, evaluates and uses consultation

 

The Toolkit provides guidance and advice about how to plan, undertake and complete a consultation project. It provides information and advice in relation to:

·        The County Council’s ‘Consultation Project Database’

·        Establishing what your consultation project will do

·        How to plan and do a consultation project

·        How to complete a consultation project

·        How to communicate your consultation findings

·        How to use a consultation project
