The Adult Strategic Partnership is still currently meeting prior to the setting
up of a Health and Wellbeing Board for North Yorkshire.
The purpose of the Adult Strategic Partnership is to provide a forum in which
the member bodies can work together to plan and deliver services in relation to
adults jointly and to ensure that statutory, voluntary and independent sector
services within North Yorkshire work together to ensure that all adults are enabled
to live independent lives in socially inclusive communities. Particular attention
will be given to the needs of those members of the community who are vulnerable
to social exclusion due to: physical or learning disability; mental health problems;
long term medical conditions; sensory impairment or frailty due to old age and
their carers.
