Children and Young People

The North Yorkshire Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership replaced the Children’s Strategic Board on 1 April 2006.  It has been set up under the requirements of the Children Act 2004 and represents all the agencies working with Children and Young People across the county.  The Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership unites all partners providing services for children and young people at both a strategic and local level.

The Partners are working together to improve the five national Every Child Matters outcomes for children, in addition to two local outcomes.

·         Be Healthy
·         Stay Safe
·         Enjoy and Achieve
·         Make a Positive Contribution
·         Achieve Economic Wellbeing
.         Capacity Building

The priorities North Yorkshire to secure these outcomes are set out in the Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP), a three year strategic plan for all agencies providing relevant services.
