The Economy and Enterprise block of the North Yorkshire Strategic Partnerships
Local Area Agreement is being led by the sub-regional economic partnership led
by the York and North Yorkshire Development Board.
This Board which is jointly chaired by the leaders of City of York Council and
North Yorkshire County Council contains representatives of each local strategic
partnership along with representatives from key sub-regional agencies and regional
bodies.
The board is supported by the York and North Yorkshire Partnership Executive,
a group of Chief Executives and Senior Officers, who oversee the work of the sub-regional
partnership and make recommendations on the actions of the Board.
Both these organisations’ work is facilitated by the York and North Yorkshire
Partnership Unit.

The work of the North Yorkshire Partnership Unit, the Development Board and the
Partnership Executive can be accessed on the Partnership Unit’s website
www.ynypu.org.uk.
The York and North Yorkshire Partnership Unit is an independent unit set up by
partners across North Yorkshire to co-ordinate external funding into the sub region
and to support the York and North Yorkshire Development Board. The Partnership
Unit will provide much of the technical input to the work of the NYSP in this
area.
